Bruce and Deborah Boucher enjoyed climbing on the concrete camel. The cement animals that were scattered around the grounds served as nice statues, resting spots for tired walkers, and a climbing playground for children. (Courtesy Lucielle Boucher.)

The vintage Allan Herschell merry-go-round carried 30 horses and four benches during its long tenure at Benson’s. There was always a line waiting to ride this popular riding device.
